The large "pied-noirs" ("black feet", the nickname of former settlers who came to France back after Algeria's independance) community of Nice appreciated being able to still drink the wines from Algeria they were accustomed to : Mostaganem, Mandourah, Mascara, that came directly by cargo ships to the port of Nice.
The third Caprioglio generation, Pierre, Georges et especially Nelly and her husband Lucien kept that trend, adding to the already large choice of every day wines an always extending selection of more prestigious bottles.
In the present days Olivier and Julien, their in-laws, intend to perpetuate the tenets which have made the Caves Caprioglio's success :
A large choice of products for every taste and every purse, in a friendly and relaxed athmosphere.
